68TH SESSION OF PAN AFRICAN PARLIAMENT BEGINS IN KHARTOUM

KHARTOUM, — The 68th session of the Executive Committee of the Pan-African Parliament (PAP) has begun at the Sudanese National Assembly building in Khartoum.

The session, which started Thursday, is being attended by Speakers of a number African parliaments and delegations of the parliaments of Ethiopia, Algeria, Cameroon, Guinea, Cote d’Ivoire, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Ghana, Togo, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and South Sudan.

The agenda of the two-day session include discussions on applications of membership, studying the final accounts for the year 2015, reviewing implementation of decisions and recommendations of the conference, preparing the agenda and place for the 69th session.
