Burkina: The JAM association supports IDPs in Laye with food and clothing


Ouagadougou: The JAM Burkina Association offered Saturday, food and clothing to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) living in the commune of Laye in the province of Kourwéogo.

The JAM Burkina association and its partners provided humanitarian aid on Saturday July 26, 2024 to IDPs living in the commune of Laye, in the province of Kourwéogo.

The donation consists, among other things, of bags of corn and rice and several lots of clothing for women, men and children.

This donation ceremony took place in the presence of the President of the special delegation (PDS) of the municipality, staff and a representative of Social Action.

‘We came today to visit our Burkinabé brothers and sisters displaced because of the security situation and to provide them with moral support and food,’ explained the president of the association, Ms. Ilboudo/Cissé Aïssata.

According to Ms. Ilboudo, despite their displaced situation, they must remain dignified and this justifies the donation of its structure for the benefit of vulner
able people.

The PDS of the commune of Laye, Saïdou Milogo, for his part, thanked the JAM Burkina association and its members for its gesture which will relieve the suffering of poor families.

The representative of the PDI, Saïdou Sigué, said he was satisfied with the support of the association and hoped that the initiative would be renewed for them. ‘We are very happy with this assistance and we are also calling on other people of goodwill to come to our aid,’ urged Mr. Sigue, the PDI of Barama.

He also noted that for six months, they have not received any support from any structure and took the opportunity to wish the JAM Burkina association.

The association is not its first action, it also offered a 10 ha field to the IDPs of Gamtoré, seeds and organic manure for agricultural activities with a view to supporting their families.

Created in 2020, the Jam Burkina association is a humanitarian structure which intervenes with the government of Burkina Faso to provide comfort to vulnerable people.

The Russian-Burkinabe association ‘African Initiative’ creates a football school in Ouagadougou


Ouagadougou: The Russian-Burkinabe association ‘African Initiative’ laid the first stone yesterday Saturday for the transformation of the Saaba Football Club academy into a training center, in order to promote football Burkinabè internationally.

The launching ceremony of the 3rd edition of the ‘football awakening holiday camp’ of the Saaba Football Club academy took place on Saturday July 27, 2024.

This ceremony was entirely financed by the Russian-Burkinabe association African Initiative, which took the opportunity to announce an important decision.

According to Alexandre Sansan Konkov of African Initiative, the Saaba Football Club academy is now a training center.

According to him, the creation of this club offers a springboard for the residents of the academy, future Burkinabè professionals of the king sport.

‘By creating this club, African Initiative hopes that talents will be born and will promote Burkinabè football internationally,’ added Mr. Konkov.

Alexandre Sansan Konkov thanked the supervisors
, parents and also the children for the trust placed in African Initiative.

‘If today we are on this ground, it is thanks to Alexandre who sees very far. He thinks that in a few years, we will be able to find nuggets here to send them to Russia and elsewhere,’ suggested Ayo Soumaïla, president of the Russian-Burkinabe African Initiative association.

Around 130 children in the junior and junior categories take part in this football holiday camp.

Academy officials welcomed this emerging partnership with the Russian-Burkinavian association African Initiative.

‘We thank our Russian friends who offered us a large batch of sports equipment and equipment,’ explained Jacques Kontogom, representative of the Saaba Football Club academy.

To mark the foundations of this football school, African Initiative is starting with two large mobile football posts, 60 bibs, 30 cups, 30 cones, 20 balls, 120 t-shirts and a medicine box. African Initiative fully funded this activity.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stressed the need to secure justice and freedom for the country’s citizens, as well as Iran’s possession of “deterrence capabilities” and strengthening its position in the Islamic world, in his first statements following his inauguration as President of Iran.

After Iranian Leader Ali Khamenei handed him the presidential decree to officially begin his duties as head of state, Pezeshkian said: ‘I pledge before the leader of the revolution that we will not follow a path other than the path of social justice and fairness and that we will continue the path of the martyrs who served this people.’

He added: “We want an Iran that enjoys social justice, grants freedoms to all citizens, and is capable and possesses deterrent and defensive capabilities,” as reported by “Russia Today.

Arnous, Sudanese Minister of Agriculture: Necessity to boost trade exchange and scientific research

Damascus, Prime Minister Engineer Hussein Arnous met Sunday with Minister of Agriculture and Forestry of the Republic of Sudan, Dr. Abu Bakr Omar al-Bushra, and his accompanying delegation.

The two sides discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation between agricultural research centers in the two countries, exchange the results of agricultural scientific research, enhance trade exchange of agricultural plant and animal products, exchange experiences, and intensify joint cooperation to confront climate change, in addition to cooperation in the fields of water, preventing floods and desertification, and other related issues.

Arnous stressed the necessity of undertaking joint projects that take into the consideration the resources and capabilities available on both sides, and taking all steps that contribute to expanding the horizons of cooperation and achieving self-sufficiency.

For his part, al-Bushra praised the historical relations between Syria and Sudan, stressing his country’s desire to enhance join
t cooperation in all fields.

Syria, Sudan discuss means of cooperation in the water field

Damascus, The Minister of Water Resources, ,Hussein Makhlouf, discussed with the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry of the Republic of Sudan, Dr. Abu Bakr Omar al-Bushra, and his accompanying delegation means of enhancing cooperation between Syria and Sudan in the water field.

That came during, Makhlouf stressed the importance of improving relations and achieving the best cooperation formulas to develop work in the water sector, achieving optimal investment of surface and groundwater resources, benefiting from the experiences of the two countries and exchanging expertise.

al-Bushra ,for his part, pointed out the importance of cooperating with Syria, benefiting from its experiences, and exchanging expertise with it in the agricultural and water fields, in a way that contributes to achieving optimal investment of water resources, and has a positive impact on the production of agricultural crops, achieving food self-sufficiency for the two brotherly countries.

Director General of the Arab Center for Studies
of Dry Zones and Dry Lands (ACSAD), Dr. Nasr al-Din al-Obaid, pointed out the importance of focusing on conducting agricultural research, increasing interest in it, and supporting it to develop varieties of crop seeds resistant to droughts and climate changes.
