Eight weak quakes with a magnitude ranging between 1.8 and 2.9 were recorded over the past 24 hours, National Earthquake Center (NEC) said.
The center stated in a statement that the stations of the National Seismological Network recorded 3 tremors with magnitudes reaching up to 2.9 northwest of Lattakia, in addition to 2 quakes with magnitudes reaching up to 2.4 in Liwa Iskenderun, and 2 tremors in Turkey with a magnitude of 2.8.
The center added that the stations also recorded a 2.5 magnitude quake 38 km west of Homs at a depth of 9.3 km.
