With participation of the Syrian parliamentary delegation chaired by Ahmed Saleh Ibrahim, member of the People’s Assembly and head of the General Union of Peasants , the Arab Parliament held Friday the meetings of its permanent committees in Cairo.

There is a great Arab welcome to the Syrian presence within the activities of the Arab Parliament, which encourages us to work together to develop our Arab situation and our collective organizations, including the Arab Parliament, Ibrahim said to SANA correspondent in Cairo.

Ibrahim pointed out the need for collective action to expel all terrorist organizations from all Arab lands, stressing that the Palestinian issue remains a central issue for all Arabs.

He also indicated that the Arab Parliament discussed during the meetings of its committees today the issue of the American and Turkish occupation of the Syrian lands, stressing the need to end this occupation.

Russian President Vladimir Putin affirmed that the Ukrainian regime forces did not accomplish any of the tasks assigned to them in their counterattack, which began today, by using their strategic reserves.

“With regard to whether (the counterattack) has stumbled or not, we can say that all counterattack attempts that have been made so far have failed, but the offensive capability of the forces of the Kiev regime is still there,” Novosti news agency quoted Putin as saying today.

Putin added “During offensive operations, losses are about three to one, and this is traditional, but troop losses significantly exceed these traditional indicators, I will not recount the numbers now, but they are impressive.”
