Jordan health minister holds separate meetings with Arab counterparts on cooperation

Jordan Health Minister Firas Hawari Thursday met with the Syrian health minister in Geneva and discussed cooperation in health and training and pharmaceutical industries. According to a statement by the Ministry of Health, the Syrian Minister of Health, Hassan Ghobash, praised the cooperation between the two countries and the assistance provided by Jordan during the earthquake that struck Syria in February 2023. Hawari, who held his meeting on the sidelines of the meeting of the Council of Arab Health Ministers and the 76th session of the World Health Assembly held, met separately with the Iraqi Minister of Health, Salih Hasnawi, and the Algerian Minister of Health, Abd al-Haq Sayhi, and discussed cooperation and exchange of experiences in food and medicine, promotion of medical tourism, and exchange of visits to follow up on the treatment of Iraqi and Algerian patients in Jordan.
