Maduro and Kadyrov condemn the Ukrainian aggression on Kremlin

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro condemned the attempted attack by Ukraine on the Kremlin ,expressing his country’s full solidarity with Russia.

Maduro expressed, in a phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday , Caracas’ strong condemnation of the attempt by the Kiev regime to strike Kremlin territory with drones, Sputnik quoted the Kremlin as saying in a statement.

The two presidents also discussed issues of developing the Russian-Venezuelan strategic partnership, According to the statement.

In the same context, President of the Russian Republic of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, said that the Ukrainian attack on the Kremlin represents an attack on the president, the state and the entire Russian people, noting that the response will be “decisive and accurate.”

Earlier the Russian forces had repelled two drones that tried to target the Kremlin buildings, while the Russian presidency confirmed that Moscow would respond to this terrorist attack with appropriate measures.

National Earthquake Center records seven weak tremors in past 24 hours

The National Earthquake Center announced that the monitoring stations recorded 7 light aftershocks ranging less than 2.9 magnitude on the Richter Scale in the past 24 hours.

The center stated in a statement to SANA reporter on Friday that the tremors were recorded from Thursday until 8:00 a.m. of Friday, a quake northwest of Lattakia at 48 k.m with 1.9 magnitudes, and another in the southwest of Lattakia with 2.6 magnitudes, as well as three tremors in Liwa Iskenderun.

A tremor was recorded in the Mediterranean Sea, southwest of Turkey, of 2.8 magnitudes, and a quake in central Turkey of 2.8 magnitudes, the center added.

Culture Ministry mourns the death of Syrian writer Haider Haider

Ministry of Culture, the Arab Writers Union and the Syrian cultural center mourned the death of Syrian writer Haidar Haidar, who passed away at the age of 87.

The late writer Haidar was born in 1936 in Hussain al-Bahr village of Tartous Governorate, and he is one of the founders of the Arab Writers Union in Damascus in 1968.

He has several books that vary between stories and novels.

During his literary career, late Haidar won several awards, including the Lucarne Festival Award, the Carlo Vivari Festival Award, and the Damascus New Film Festival Award.
