Zaaiter: Uprising of February 6 a turning point in Lebanon’s history

FEBRUARY 8, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) Amal Movement commemorated the anniversary of February six of 1984 in a celebration held at Bassel Assad cultural centre in presence of Minister of Public Works, Ghazi Zaaiter, who dubbed said event a “turning point in Lebanon’s history.”

“Uprising of February 6 took Lebanon out of the tunnel of the Israeli age into the depth of the resistant Arab world and made the resistance the pivotal factor in the Lebanese formula,” he said.

Touching on current domestic affairs, Zaaiter called for supporting the army and electing a president the soonest possible.
