JANUARY 29, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) Chairman for the Committee for Foreign Policy and National Security of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran, Alaeddin Boroujerdi, on Thursday arrived in Beirut, on top of a senior delegation, to partake in a celebration to be held tomorrow in the Southern Suburb, in honor of Quneitra martyrs.
At the airport, he was welcomed by MP Nawwaf Moussawi representing House Speaker, Nabih Berri, and MP Bilal Farhat representing Loyalty to the Resistance parliamentary bloc.
Speaking to reporters at the airport’s VIP Lounge, Boroujerdi indicated that the Islamic Republic of Iran always sided with the Resistance and paid heed to preserving security, calm, stability, and sovereignty in the region in general, and in Lebanon in particular.
“The recent attack on Quneitra proves that the Zionist entity does not stop at any red line in its crimes and attacks,” he said.
He went on to say that the political developments on the Lebanese scene showed harmony, agreement, and unity among the political parties in the country, renewing Iran’s support for the unity of the Lebanese.
“We hope to find a proper political exit to the crisis sweeping Syria. We also hope that the states, parties and sides that contributed to the bloodbath in Syria would abstain from those erroneous policies,” he uttered.
He did not fail to reiterate Iran’s condemnation of terrorism in the region and worldwide.
