MUSCAT: The Business Year (TBY) announced its launch of the second edition of The Business Year: Oman 2015, on Wednesday.
The research focuses on the business and investment landscape in Oman.
It features 177 interviews with major policy makers and business leaders with in-depth analysis of the major sectors of the economy. The Business Year: Oman 2015 has worked in close collaboration with Ithraa throughout the duration of the project.
At the launch, the keynote speeches were given by H E Dr Ali bin Masoud bin Ali al Sunaidy, Minister of Commerce and Industry, followed by H H Sayyid Faisal al Said, director general of marketing and media, Ithraa, and Leland Rice, managing editor of TBY.
Following the keynote addresses, Rice moderated a panel discussion centered on Oman’s diversification plans, entailing discussions on key growth areas, strategic projects, and the role of the private sector in achieving national objectives.
The panel discussion participants included Eng Wael al Lawati, chief executive officer of Omran; Lloyd Maddock, chief executive officer of Ahli Bank; Gert Hoefman, chief executive officer of Oman Cables Industry; and Sheikh Khalil al Salmi, deputy chief executive officer of Oman Drydock Company.
The publication, The Business Year: Oman 2015 includes insights from leading political and business figures to deliver accurate information, objective analysis, and strategic advice on the main economic trends in the sultanate.
