Terro calls for electing president away from foreign intervention

FEBRUARY 6, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) Member of Parliament, MP Alaaeddine Terro, on Friday called for electing a new Lebanese President away from foreign meddling.

Interviewed by the Voice of Lebanon radio station, the lawmaker said that the fact that Lebanese MPs have always wagered on foreign policies is what made Lebanon lose its independency, but has also opened the door before some countries to meddle in the country’s internal affairs.

Terro highlighted the importance of inter-Lebanese dialogue, saying that even if there were dim chances for coming out with the aspired results, dialogue still had a positive effect on Lebanese citizens and politicians.
