JANUARY 15, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) It slightly snowed overnight in the Shouf Heights, however, this did not change the thickness of the already existing snow on these altitudes, NNA field reporter said on Thursday.
As the storm winded down, expectations to have all the blocked roads be open to traffic did not come true, as most of the Shouf region’s internal roads remain closed, and so does the Shouf-Bekaa road.
Schools and institutions have kept their doors closed, and many electricity cuts have been witnessed in said regions.
The storm has not spared the Shouf Mountain’s agricultural produce and plastic tents, which have reportedly incurred a massive agricultural catastrophe.
