MUSCAT: H H Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers received Dr Ashraf al Arabi, Egypt’s minister of planning follow-up and administrative reform, on Sunday.

After welcoming the guest and his accompanying delegation, Sayyid Fahd reviewed the ties between Oman and Egypt and discussed the importance of the services sector in improving administrative competencies.

He also commended the existing cooperation between the countries in this regard. Dr Arabi conveyed the greetings of Egyptian president, Abdel Fattah el Sisi to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said and appreciated the sultanate’s progress under the wise leadership of His Majesty the Sultan.

He also explained the result and importance of the talks that he had with other officials in the sultanate. The meeting also reviewed the bilateral cooperation in the economic, social and human resources fields. The meeting was also attended by H E Sheikh Khalid bin Omar bin Said al Marhoon, Minister of Civil Service.
