Salam, Zasypkin take up regional situation

APRIL 9, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) Prime Minister Tammam Salam met on Thursday afternoon at the Grand Serail with the Russian ambassador to Lebanon Alexander Zasypkin, where they tackled the forthcoming meeting by the government Lebanese-Russian joint committee, set to take place in Beirut at the outset of this month to discuss economic and commercial cooperation between the two countries.

Speaking on emerging, Ambassador Zasypkin said that talks touched on the current regional situation, stressing the need for progress towards a political settlement for conflicts in the region.

The Ambassador also underlined the need for consecrating the principle of the concept of coexistence in the region.

Separately, Premier Salam also met with the new Brazilian Ambassador to Lebanon, George Geraldo Kadri, who came on a courtesy visit on the occasion of his assumption of his diplomatic missions in Lebanon.
