FEBRUARY 24, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) PM Tammam Salam on Tuesday said that “the presidential vacancy should be treated in a method that does not give way to a new style that falls outside the context of the democratic regime.”
Salam’s fresh stance came today as he received at the Grand Serail a delegation of the Press Syndicate’s council headed by the chief of said syndicate Aouni Kaaki.
Salam said, “I don’t want anybody to believe that that I am aiming to fix vacancy in my governmental performance.”
He added, “We don’t want to suspend the state and to consider the suspension of the governmental work as an alternative to electing a president.”
Amongst Salam’s visitors had been Public Health Minister Wael Abu Faour and others.
