Salam; mending fences with Bahrain

JANUARY 17, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) Striving to mend fences with Bahrain, Prime Minister Tammam Salam alluded today to criticism leveled at Bahrain saying the ill-fated attempt failed to reflect the Lebanese government’s true position.

The pluralistic diversity of views in Lebanon must in no way jeopardize sisterly relations between Manama and Beirut, he added. A pretty traumatized Lebanon suffering for so long at the hands of interventionists won’t do likewise to Bahrain and the king knows this pretty well, he retorted.

And as we face together the threat of terrorism, we perceive in a boosted unity of the Arabs a means of stability and prosperity for all PM Salam concluded.
