Salam, interlocutors take up current affairs

APRIL 27, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) Prime Minister Tammam Salam met on Monday afternoon at the Grand Serail with MPs Ahmed Fatfat, Qassim Abdul Aziz and Kazim Kheir, where they reportedly dwelt on the general political situation, notably the budget issue, in addition to developmental and agricultural affairs related to the regions of Dinieh and Minieh.

On emerging, MP Fatfat said that they briefed the Premier on the current predicament sustained by the agricultural sector in Dinieh and Minieh, and the need for stringent measures in this regard.

Fatfat said that they heard during the meeting good news on the subject of transportation, specifically regarding facilities and possible cuts on the cost of transportation through the Suez Canal by the Egyptian government.

Separately, Premier Salam met with a delegation of the Lebanese businessmen residing in Saudi Arabia, whereby the delegation hailed the Saudi Kingdom’s permanent support to the Lebanese state and people.
