JANUARY 21, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) Prime Minister Tammam Salam met on Wednesday with the U.S. Ambassador to Lebanon David Hale.
Hale, who visited Salam at the Grand Serail, tackled with the Prime Minister most recent developments at the local and regional scenes.
Public Works and Transportation Minister, Ghazi Zaiter, also had his share of talks with the Prime Minister, in the company of Beirut Port’s CEO Hassan Qreitem.
A delegation representing the Arab-German chamber of trade headed by Peter Ramsawer, also visited the Prime Minister for discussions on the means of bolstering economic ties between Lebanon and Germany, in the presence of the German Ambassador to Lebanon, Christian Clages.
A delegation representing the Taxi Driver’s Syndicate, headed by Syndicate Head, Charl Assaad Abou Harb also met with the Prime Minister.
The delegation briefed Salam on the syndicate’s activities and cooperation with the ISF and the Traffic Management Center, a thing which has greatly decreased the number of car accidents involving Taxi drivers.
