Salam bound for Berlin to relay bitter Syrian refugee status in Lebanon

OCTOBER 27, 2014 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) Prime Minister Tammam Salam headed to Berlin on Monday morning for 24-hour talks over the increasing burden of the Syrian refugee crisis in Lebanon.

The Prime Minister, who left in the company of Telecommunications Minister, Gebran Bassil, is scheduled to meet with German chancellor Angela Merkel, for in-depth talks about German-Lebanese relations and Germany’s role within the European Union helping Lebanon cope with the simmering refugee crisis.

Salam is also scheduled to meet with the Arab accredited Ambassadors to Germany.

The PM will also be taking part in Tuesday morning’s 5th meeting by the International Support Group for Lebanon, where he will be delivering a word with a solemn appeal for a speedy solution to Lebanon’s refugee crisis.

The Prime Minister will be delivering a similar word at Berlin Conference on Syrian Refugees.
