JANUARY 18, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) Minister of Justice Ashraf Rifi, has condemned in strongest terms what he termed as the flagrant Syrian aggression meted to two Lebanese lawyers attending a conference of Arab lawyers in Cairo today.
In a minister’s contact with Newly-elected Bar Association Dean George Jreij, Rifi urged a widespread boycott of pro-Assad lawyers saying Egypt as a host country to the Conference of Arab Lawyers must punish the aggressors for their criminality by making them stand trial as he said.
Rifi who confided in the sense of Egyptian justice concluded that measures must be taken by Egyptian courts in order to punish pro-Assad aggressors. He also expressed sympathy with the beaten-up attorneys.
