Rahi: He urges us from the Cross to remain strong

APRIL 3, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) He urges us to remain strong and adamant, Maronite patriarch Beshara Rahi, exclaimed in his Good Friday sermon at the Lady’s Church in Bkirki today.

The Lord Savior prompts us from his Cross to face up to storms and disasters ahead, Rahi urged Samir Geagea and the rest of the congregation of faithful attending the service. Having recited New Testament verses deemed relevant to the occasion of Good Friday, the patriarch described the message of the Crucifix as being a three-dimensional one with himself and the Church hierarchy continuing to uphold it high.

The prayers of the crucified Jesus had not been in vain, for shortly afterwards thousands thronged to join his faith, he added. Jesus had liberated humanity from sin with his death on the cross. Also describing Mary as the new mother of humanity, Rahi concluded that Mother Church remains committed to transfer its flock to the haven of safety.
