Rahi back from Rome: Salam not hasty resign and place country before the unknown

October 28, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) Maronite Patriarch Bechara Rahi said that PM Tammam Salam “is not hasty enough to resign from his post of premiership after the ill response of officials to dire demands at the livelihood level, as such a deed puts the country in the anonymous.”

Rahi’s stance came Wednesday from Rafic Hariri International Airport as he came back from Rome.

The Patriarch said, “The premier must not at all think of resigning. We salute him and hope that he would not resign in order to preserve the government and let it convene as soon as possible.”
