PROPOSED OMANI MOTHER AND CHILDREN ASSOCIATION TO HAVE 230 MEMBERS

The meeting to finalise the proposal for the formation of the Oman Mother and Children Association was held at Muscat College on Thursday.

The proposal to set up the association will be sent to the Ministry of Social Development (MoSD) soon. The meeting finalised the vision, mission and values of the proposed association which will have 230 members from different walks of life and those from the Majlis A’Shura and the State Council.

The proposed association will be chaired by Muna Mahfoodh al Mandhari, a State Council member, Nasir al Foori, the vice president and Fahad al Raisi will be board’s member and treasurer.

Speaking on the sidelines of the meeting, Raisi said, “We discussed different aspects of the proposal which will be submitted to the ministry. The aim of the association is to solve problems related to mothers and children. There are a lot of issues in Oman concerning mothers and children that need to addressed.”
