JANUARY 16, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) Prime Minister Tammam Salam met on Friday with UN Special Coordinator, Derek Plumbly, who bid the premier adieu at the end of his Lebanon mission and lauded him for his “wisdom, patience, and leadership.”
Plumbly expressed his appreciation for the support and cooperation of the Lebanese state with the UNIFIL. He noted that stability in south Lebanon was a pivotal component in the overall peace of Lebanon.
Separately, Salam convened with Ambassador of Canada to Lebanon, Hilary Childs Adams. Talks focus on current regional and domestic developments.
The Premier also met with Public prosecutor, Judge Samir Hammoud.
