OMAN TO TAKE PART AT GENEVA IP MEET

MUSCAT: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) will take part in the 15th session of the Development and Intellectual Property Committee (DIPC) to be held in Geneva, Switzerland from April 20-24.

Ahmed bin Mohammed al Saeedi, director of intellectual property in MoCI, said that the meeting will discuss a report on strengthening the capacity of governmental and stakeholder institutions to manage, monitor and promote creative industries and enhance the performance and network of copyright management organisations.

The meeting will also discuss the patent-related flexibilities in the multilateral legal framework.
