FEBRUARY 6, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) Future MP Jean Ogassapian said on Friday that the presidential issue is primary to boost the institutions, saying the meetings were ongoing with the various political forces to reach solutions in this regard.
“Former MP Ghattas Khoury has already visited Rabieh (…) and this subject will also be at the dialogue agenda with Hezbollah,” he said in an interview with the VDL.
Ogassapian said on a different note that the decision to remove the flags and banners of parties that from the streets was an important step, “but this is not the main goal of dialogue.”
He further stated that dialogue between the Future Movement and Hezbollah might encounter many obstacles, however, ensuring that “this dialogue will continue despite the difficulties.”
The MP finally wished that this dialogue would include the issues of the Resistance Brigade, the proliferation of weapons in the streets and cities, the involvement of Hezbollah in Syria and the Military Court.
“Our principle is to address first the issues on which we can agree then get to major national causes,” he concluded.
