MUSCAT: The National Bank of Oman’s Academy of Excellence, the training arm of the bank, on Tuesday continued to demonstrate its focus on technology and innovation with the launch of its e-learning delivery channel, @cademy 24×7.
This follows National Bank of Oman’s recent commitment to becoming a bank focused on leadership in the digital sphere and which provides the best possible workplace for every employee.
In future, all of the bank’s online training will be accessed through @cademy 24×7 as it becomes the all-new digital avatar of the Academy of Excellence. With an overall aim of making learning and development more accessible than ever for National Bank of Oman employees, the first training course to be uploaded onto the @cademy 24×7 portal is on anti-money laundering. The formal launch of @cademy 24×7 was conducted by Ahmed al Musalmi, chief executive officer of National Bank of Oman, in the presence of the senior management and a number of bank staff.
Musalmi said, “The launch of @cademy 24×7 marks an important milestone in the development of National Bank of Oman’s Academy of Excellence. The new portal will provide a key space for employees of the bank to learn and develop, which in turn will help to deliver a superior offering to our customers.”
He added, “At National Bank of Oman, we aim to lead the banking sector through cutting-edge digital innovation. The creation and implementation of @cademy 24×7, which will significantly benefit and augment the bank’s training programme, is further evidence of this. @cademy 24×7 will provide a helpful tool as we continue to support our employees and successfully meet the tactical and strategic objectives of the bank.”
National Bank of Oman’s @cademy 24×7 initiative is designed to help staff in divisions across the bank access the extensive range of Academy of Excellence programmes and training courses at anytime and anywhere.
The launch of @cademy 24×7 is further reinforcement of National Bank of Oman’s commitment to achieving digital leadership in banking. Earlier in the month, the bank announced the launch of its new public website at www.nbo.om in order to provide customers with a state-of-the-art, intuitive experience.
The Bank’s Academy of Excellence has been consistently delivering a diverse mix of high-quality technical and soft-skill courses aimed at various divisions and levels, and is spearheading the bank’s transformation journey.
