MUSCAT: National Bank of Oman has announced the launch of its new fully-featured public portal,

The new site, designed for an intuitive customer-friendly experience, provides new ways for its customer to interact digitally with the bank through innovative features such as web chat and ‘call me back’ functions, easy access to essential information and services including branch and ATM locator, and loan calculators for all existing and potential National Bank of Oman clients.

The remodeled portal, which is available in both Arabic and English, has a number of ground-breaking features and is available on a wide range of devices, including tablets and smart phones, to make banking more accessible than ever for National Bank of Oman customers.

The extensive content available on the online banking platform has been specifically designed to help clients apply for products easily and browse the bank’s multitude of services allowing them to benefit from a better understanding of their own personal finances.

The new National Bank of Oman portal is seamlessly interactive and provides key information in an expedient manner, such as where the closest ATM or branch is, and how best to get there, as well as innovative tools and facilities to provide additional insight and comparisons on the available products and services. The overall feel is an online banking platform which is much more personal and convenient than traditional banking.

Reinforcing its commitment to achieving digital leadership in banking, National Bank of Oman recently announced the introduction of 3D security to enhance customers’ online shopping experience.

Customers shopping online with a 3D secure merchant will be provided authentication via a One-Time-Password (OTP), valid for one transaction. In addition, to simplify the process, no upfront registration will be required when shopping online, thus saving customers the hassle of remembering a username and password.
