“We tackled the issues and crises experienced by Lebanon and which affect the standard of living and the economic situation of the Lebanese who are today languishing under the weight of continued Syrian exodus to Lebanon,” Gemayel said after the meeting.

Asked about the fate of the Lebanese kidnapped soldiers and the demonstrations carried out by their relatives, Gemayel said “I understand the pain of the parents who are waiting for the return of their loved ones safely (…) but I tell them that the roads’ cut off does not influence the kidnappers yet it affects the lives of the citizens.”
