Al Musannah, Al Shabab and Fanja were the last teams to enter the quarterfinals of the inaugural Mazda Professional Cup as the group stages of the football competition concluded on Thursday.
Musannah topped Group C with nine points from six games after it drew 1-1 with Shabab, while Shabab edged past Al Suwaiq for the second spot following a 1-1 draw. Shabab finished with seven points, while Suwaiq made its exit with six points.
In Group D, Fanja finished runner-up with eight points after it played out a 1-1 draw with Sur, which ended its league engagements with seven points. Arouba topped the group with ten points after it thrashed Sur 3-0 last week.
All the quarterfinal matches will be played on Monday with Saham taking on Fanja, Arouba locking horns with Sohar, Seeb meeting Shabab and Musannah clashing with Dhofar.
