APRIL 8, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) Ministers of Agriculture, Industry, Economy, and Public Works on Wednesday held a meeting to tackle the issue of exporting Lebanese agricultural and industrial products following the crisis of border passageways.
Minister Akram Shehayeb indicated, in the name of conferees, that the Lebanese waited for the sound return of truckers.
“We must find an adequate solution to a crisis which risks, unfortunately, extending. We all know that the third of the Lebanese products are exported to the Gulf. The only option we are mulling actually is the maritime transportation,” he said.
“We agreed with the Customs Department and all the syndicates, to back the maritime transportation for renewable three months by the government by IDAL,” he concluded.
