FEBRUARY 6, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) Former Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, on Friday held out hope that dialogue would be bolstered in order to immunize the internal situation amid the current critical time on the regional and international levels.
Mikati welcomed today a panel of teachers from the Lebanese University and representatives of educational centers in Tripoli.
On the presidential issue in light of the fresh Beirut visit of French Foreign Ministry’s envoy Jean François Girault, the former premier indicated that France was exerting tremendous efforts and communicating with all the Lebanese parties, in an attempt to elect a new president of the republic.
“This is what Girault has informed me about,” he noted, expecting the presidential void to continue.
