Mikati launches Azem University in Tripoli

APRIL 16, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) Former Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, launched on Thursday Tripoli’s new state-of-the-art Al-Azem University. The fully equipped University has granted 150 scholarships so far in the service of science and educational progress.

Touching on the most recent political developments, the Former Prime Minister said that Lebanon should avoid regional polarizations “looking at the fact that it’s bogged down in its own sufferings.” He also called on all the political leaders to resume dialogue.

Mikati also seized the occasion to thank the Arab countries, especially the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, for their continuous support for Lebanon. He also highlighted the paramount importance of reaching the truth regarding the assassination of late Prime Minister Rafik Hariri.
