Mashnouq from Bekaa: security plan continuous until wanted apprehended

FEBRUARY 13, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) Minister of Interior and Municipality, Nohad Mashnouq, on Friday warded off sayings that the Bekaa was an outlaw region, while the security plan being currently implemented in North Bekaa “proved the contrary.”

“Citizens of Bekaa have chosen the state,” the Minister corroborated in a news conference held following his inspection of the execution of the security plan in the region.

“The security operation will keep going for days in an attempt to conclusively declare Bekaa a region free of wanted and criminal tools,” he indicated.

“We know that there are numbers of wanted who have moved to Syria (…) but they will be arrested when they return,” he said.

“Collaboration for the first time among the General Security, the Internal Security Forces, and the army command is confirmation of unity in the face of terrorism, drugs, abduction and thefts,” he went on to say, failing not to point out at deprivation in the region of Brital.

He also indicated that the sons of Bekaa welcomed the implementation of the security plan whereby security members did not have to face any resistance or confrontation while executing their raids.

On Arsal, he confirmed that the security plan was on the go inside the town.
