March 14 asks Bassil to summon Iranian ambassador over Khamenei’s latest stance

FEBRUARY 4, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) March 14 General Secretariat on Wednesday attacked the recent stance of Iran’s Higher Spiritual Leader, Ali Khamenei, who said he would send to Iraq, Syria and Lebanon special groups of Iranian youth to “fight beside the alliances against enemies,” and accordingly asked Foreign Minister Jibran Bassil to summon the Iranian ambassador to make clarifications regarding Khamenei’s stance.

March 14 convened today at its headquarters in Ashrafieh.

“We don’t accept Lebanon to be a mail box for anybody as it is an independent entity based on Constitution, history, experience and international resolutions, most notably 1559, 1680 and 1701,” said March 14 whose statement has been read by its member Mustafa Alloush.

March 14 said it would not let either Iran or any other country to tamper with Lebanon’s sovereignty.
