Majdalani: Hizbullah’s presence in Syria based on Iranian decision

JANUARY 30, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) Member of Parliament, Atef Majdalani ruled out on Friday the possibility that Shebaa incident would affect Future – Hizbullah dialogue, pointing out that the said incident is related to Hizbullah’s presence in Syria.

The MP told “Voice of Lebanon” radio station that “Future” movement “is against any act that threatens civil peace or the situation in Lebanon,” stressing that Lebanese state only should take the decision of peace and war.

Responding to MP Walid Jumblatt’s latest rhetoric regarding the impossibility to implement Baabda declaration, Majdalani said,”nothing is impossible, it is enough to have Hizbullah withdraw from Syria to implement Baabda declaration and dissociation policy.”

Majdalani indicated that the presence of Hizbullah in Syria “is an Iranian decision,” adding that Shebaa operation confirms that following the Iranian threats to Israel and its use to Hizbullah.
