Machnouk optimistic about resolution of crisis of eight Lebanese truck drivers

APRIL 12, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) Minister of the Interior, Nohad Machnouk, expressed optimism Sunday on the resolution of the crisis of the eight Lebanese truck drivers held at the Syrian-Jordanian border, saying they will soon come to Jordan as a result of their liberation by the forces of the Syrian opposition.

The minister in this context urged King Abdullah II of Jordan to intervene to allow the Lebanese in question to enter the territory of the Kingdom.

Machnouk had made several contacts with Jordanian officials, including his counterpart and others, and was waiting to receive their responses.
