Lahham eulogizing late Karami: He was man of dialogue and openness

JANUARY 2, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENsCY – LEBANON) Patriarch of the Antioch and All the East, Alexandria and Jerusalem for the Melkite Catholics, Gregory III Laham, cabled condolences to the family of the late Prime Minister, Omar Karami, eulogizing him as a man of dialogue, openness and rapprochement among the Lebanese.

“He [late Karami] is a big national loss,” Patriarch Lahham said, hailing his political flexibility demonstrated during his national march, reflecting the Lebanese national spirit.

The Patriarch also hoped that a president of the republic would be elected as soon as possible, since as he said, constitutional life cannot be set right without a head of a state.
