Khreis: Geagea, Aoun dialogue essential to elect president

JANUARY 15, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) “Liberation and Development” parliamentary bloc member, MP Ali Khoreis, hoped dialogue between Lebanese Forces leader, Samir Geagea, and MP Michel Aoun would take place because it would directly contribute in the election of a new president as well as in easing sectarian tension.

The MP praised the pioneer national role of Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, mainly in his persistence on carrying on national dialogue not only between Hizbullah and Future movement but among all Lebanese parties.

Khoreis praised Roumieh prison security operation which restored the state’s prestige, hoping the security plan would expand to reach all the Lebanese regions in which terrorism and fugitives nest.

“The region is undergoing an unstable security and political atmosphere as terrorism contributes in raising security and sectarian tensions that serve only the international Zionism which seeks to control both Arab and Islamic worlds,” Khoreis said in front of his visitors in Tyre.

“Everyone who kills and destroys in the name of Islam harm Islam, the prophet and the Muslims in general not only those who attempt to spoil the prophet’s image through inappropriate caricatures,” The lawmaker concluded.
