kahwaji, interlocutors tackle bilateral relations

JANUARY 13, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) Army Commander General Jean Kahwagi on Tuesday met at his Yarzeh office in with the French-International Military Relations Official, Delort Laval, on head of a delegation, where they broached an array of current issues, especially joint cooperation in the fight against terrorism, and bilateral relations between the two armies.

General Kahwaji also met with a US delegation comprising of the Officer of Security Aid Program allocated to the Lebanese Army at the US Defense Agency Security and Cooperation Agency Moree Stephen, and the Military-Political Bureau Officer at the US State Department, Kerry Johnson.

Talks reportedly dwelt on cooperation relations between the armies of both countries, and means of developing the US aid program, in light of current developments.

The delegation also came in the company of the US Defense Attaché in Lebanon, Antonio Banchs.
