Kabalan calls to support security plan

FEBRUARY 13, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) Vice Head of the Islamic Shiite Supreme Council Sheikh Abdul Amir Kabalan recalled, in his Friday sermon, former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri, “this great man who gave a lot to the country and its people and who died a martyr for all of Lebanon at the hands of Israel which, along with its allies, stood behind the assassination.”

“Hariri’s assassination forms a great service to Israel and its projects in the region, because the martyr was a safety valve to guard Lebanon from Israel and its agents,” Kabalan said.

He demanded all political figures in Lebanon to cooperate and reach consensus over a presidential candidate so as to rescue the nation from peril, quarrels and schemes.

The Sheikh also stressed that “Lebanon is in dire need for cooperation among its sons to be able to back the army and the security forces against those who seek harm to the country. We welcome the security plan and call upon everyone to support it.”
