Kaag arrives in Beirut to take over Plumbly’s functions

JANUARY 17, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) United Nations newly appointed Special Coordinator, Sigrid Kaag, arrived in Beirut Saturday coming from Paris, in order to assume her functions as a successor to Derek Plumbly, who is scheduled to leave in the next few hours after ending his duties in Lebanon.

Also arriving in Beirut today was UN Envoy for Syrian Affairs Staffan de Mistura’s Aid, Ramzi Ezzeldine, coming from Istanbul on his way to Syria as part of his assignment.
