Jumblatt: Committed to affect exchange with Nusra/ISIL

APRIL 18, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) We remain committed to affect a prisoner exchange with Nusra and ISIL, Druze leader Walid Jumblatt, reassured a visiting delegation from the families of kidnapped soldiers checking on him at his Mokhtara mansion today.

Jumblatt, who commended Berri’s and Abbas’s coordinating efforts, stressed the non-sectarian character of the bargain describing it as being “patriotic” par excellence.

Also taking the word, minister Wael Abou-Faour, confirmed that joint efforts undertaken by Tamam Salam and Nohad Machnouk were liable to affect first an exchange with Nusra and then with ISIL at a second stage.
