JANUARY 19, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) Minister of Information Ramzi Jreij received at his ministerial office a delegation of the Pharmacists Association headed by Rabih Hassouna, who briefed him on the position of the union regarding the establishment of new colleges of pharmacy.
After the meeting, Hassouna said “the establishment of new colleges of pharmacy is a serious matter that affects the basis of Pharmacy in Lebanon. We explained our position against this project out of fear of what licensing these colleges could lead to.”
“Minister Jreij showed total understanding to the viewpoint of the union and assured that the data and studies provided are adequate and push towards rejecting this approach,” Hassouna said.
On a different note, Minister Jreij received the Head of Actors Syndicate Ehsan Sadeq, accompanied by artist Nicolas Osta and discussed with him the issue of audio-visual media, especially in terms of implementing the worksheet set for the establishment of media institutions.
