APRIL 29, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) Deputy Jammal Jarrah said that “the debt that we are suffering of is due to the electricity.”
He called on the concerned sides to set a plan to preserve the power sector.
His remarks came during a press conference at the parliament with Deputy Ghazi Youssef.
He pointed that Deir Ammar issue is pending and Finance Ministry has stopped the contract due to its ambiguity”.
From his part, Youssef confirmed that there is a huge deficit in the power sector, adding that the money is available to finance power production through loans and grants, not to mention the global decrease in the price of oil.
The lawmaker stressed the need to provide two power plants.
