Jarrah: Hezbollah controlled by Iranian watch

JANUARY 20, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) Future Parliamentary bloc MP, Jamal Jarrah, on Tuesday said that Hezbollah’s military and security performance and decisions were fully controlled by an Iranian watch, wondering whether Iran was willing to delve into a regional war, especially now that it’s negotiating its nuclear file.

“The most recent incident [Israel’s Qneitra attack on Hezbollah] is the most dangerous since 2006 in the history of the conflict between Hezbollah and Israel,” Jarrah told the Voice of Lebanon radio station.

The lawmaker reiterated his party’s stance refusing Hezbollah’s intervention in the Syrian warfare.

“Hezbollah got itself involved in the Syrian war as per Iran’s dictates and did not take into consideration the repercussions of such a move on the Lebanese internal scene,” he said.

He went on to point to some major infiltration among Hezbollah ranks, a thing which in his words has facilitated Israel’s attack on such a high ranking Hezbollah convoy.

Touching on the presidential file, Jarrah said that Iran had full control over the matter.

“Iran is using the Lebanese presidency file as a bargaining chip in return for its demands on the table of negotiations,” he said, seeing the only way out was by reaching an internal Christian-Christian understanding.
