FEBRUARY 19, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) Deputy Yassine Jaber called on the concerned sides “to implement the article 65 of the constitution regarding the work of the Cabinet.”
The MP highlighted Speaker of the House, Nabih Berri’s efforts to open dialogue among all factions.
The lawmaker told the “Voice of Lebanon” radio that the current stage would require agreement to reach fertile results concerning the Cabinet and Presidency issue.
Moreover, he said that a crisis currently persists regarding security appointments, adding “in case vacuum happened and the Cabinet failed to appoint new security officers, then void would prevail over several security positions.”
Jaber ruled out the possibility of holding an extraordinary parliament session at the current time.
