MUSCAT: A delegation representing 12 Italian companies was in Muscat recently to explore new business opportunities.
The delegation’s visit organised by the Italian Chamber of Commerce of Padua and Confindustria Padua. The delegation was accompanied by Tricolore International-iGulf, the first international business development agency to facilitate commercial opportunities between Omani and Italian companies, stated a press release.
The visiting companies are an integral part of one of the key industrial clusters in the north of Italy and deal in products like lighting systems, air conditioning, interior decoration, equipment for the hospitality sector, engineering services for oil and gas and machine maintenance services, it said.
Caterina Carannante, general manager, Tricolore-iGulf, said, “We had more than 70 B2B meetings, and for each Italian company we have identified the most appropriate local counterpart [in Oman] with the aim of creating real business opportunities.”
To enhance the presence of Italian companies in Oman, Tricolore not only tailors business development strategies but also distributes quality Italian products, especially those serving the needs of the real estate sector, the release added.
