Iranian Embassy celebrates 36th anniversary of Islamic Revolution victory

FEBRUARY 10, 2015 (REFERRING TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY – LEBANON) The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Lebanon celebrated the 36th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran in a ceremony held at BIEL in the presence of Iran’s Ambassador to Lebanon Mohammad Fathali and embassy staff.

The ceremony was attended by MP Ali Bazzi representing House Speaker Nabih Berri and Minister Ghazi Zeaiter on behalf of Prime Minister Tammam Salam, in addition to ranking political figures and dignitaries.

Ambassador Fathali delivered a speech on the occasion whereby he said “the Islamic Republic of Iran, in line with its principles, will always be an advocate of right, justice, dialogue and unity. It will always stand by the oppressed and will remain a true supporter for the proud people of Lebanon, Syria and Palestine in face of the Zionist occupation and Takfiri terrorism.”

“Iran is working to establish world peace and stability based on human dignity, moderation and on avoiding extremism,” he assured, reiterating his country’s support to the brotherly people of Lebanon as well as to its government, its army and its resistance.

Fathali stressed the need for national unity, deeming it the most effective weapon in the face of the Zionist enemy.

Welcoming all types of dialogue that combine the sons of one homeland, the Ambassador hoped for a speedy election of a President of the Lebanese Republic.
