INDIAN SCHOOL SALALAH STUDENT WINS SILVER IN NATIONAL ATHLETIC MEET

Hussain Ahmed has bagged silver medal in the 100m race, in U-14 age category, in the 19th CBSE National Athletic Meet held recently at Divine Child School, Mehsana, Gujarat.

Indian School Salalah (ISS) has been constantly motivating the students to excel in their performances and one of them is Hussain from class VIII who has brought laurels to the school. Hussain’s feat is a matter of immense pride and great honour.

He is the first ever student of Indian School Salalah whose name is registered in CBSE Nationals Sports Book.

Hussain Ahmed represented CBSE Oman Chapter who had performed brilliantly in the Oman cluster athletic meet held at Muscat and thus qualified to participate at nationals.

He won the silver medal with the timing of 11.83 which is better than last year’s first place timing, which was 11.91. Cyril Samuel, president, SMC along with T R Brown, principal of ISS congratulated the remarkable feat of Hussain and the efforts of the physical education department.
