MUSCAT: Luxury spa operators, I Spa have opened their first branch in Oman at the Hormuz Grand hotel.
A pioneer in using traditional Thai concepts, the spa focuses on providing treatments from China, Indonesia, India and Thailand in a modern setting.
“We use a lot of essential oils such as frangipani, cedarwood, orchid, rose, lavender, chamomile, patchouli, jasmine and sandalwood as well as base oils such as almond, grapeseed, sunflower and jojoba, depending on the treatment the customer chooses. For our facials, the latest technology and a combination of oils is used as per the choice of the customer.
“The spa uses Karlovy brand products from Thailand which are herbal and effective,” said Ganyaphak Aotarit, spa manager.
The spa offers customised signature massages, body scrubs, wraps and masks as well as aromatherapy bathing for relaxation of the body and mind. All facials are done by experienced therapists who offer consultation before the treatment. Age-defying facials and ‘essential facials’ that brighten the skin are also available.
The I Spa at Hormuz Grand features eight treatment rooms with bathtubs and separate changing rooms for men and women besides additional facilities that include lockers, steam and sauna.
Special treatments that slim and tone the body in addition to massage for the back, shoulders, head and face are also available.
Customers can also get their package tailor-made by selecting their choice of scrub, wraps, massage and facial.
I Spa, which started operations in 2005, has 20 branches in China. It also has centres in Thailand and Cambodia.
